A patient gains a new perspective on life after being shot in the thigh, telling paramedics and EMTs that he'll turn his life around for the sake of his 9-month-old child if he survives. Also: Students report feeling dizzy after carbon monoxide alarms go off at their school.

In the Season 2 finale, a sick patient in dire need of medical treatment refuses help. That is, until a paramedic persuades him to accept care for the sake of his young children. Elsewhere, EMTs respond to reports of a jumper on top of a hospital parking facility.
