Liz Bonnin and Ben Fogle continue the series in which they explore some of the more remote regions of Britain’s rich and varied countryside. Liz takes a canoe journey along the River Wye, which meanders along the border of England and Wales and is home to a wealth of wildlife. As it is midsummer, Liz hopes to catch a glimpse of the nightjar, Britain’s most elusive and mysterious bird. Ben heads to the Exmoor coast and the picturesque village of Porlock, where he samples the locally farmed oysters that are making a comeback thanks to a community scheme. Finally, the programme returns to the Yorkshire Dales and the Owen family’s farm
