James Martin’s travels around France lead him to the beautiful lakeside town of Annecy, where he wanders around the market to select ingredients. On the stunning shore of Annecy’s clear lake, James cooks dishes using delicious local tomatoes, red mullet and lobster. World-famous cheesemonger Pierre Gay shows off his amazing selection of cheeses and inspires James to create a mouth-watering cheese and endive bake back in his home kitchen. James meets local chef Yoann Conte, who has a passion for transforming simple local ingredients into something spectacular in his Michelin-starred restaurant. James’s next stop is a visit to the award-winning pastry chef Philippe Rigollot to sample some of his extraordinary creations. Drawing on his experiences in Annecy, James makes a luxurious creme caramel.
