Time Traveling With Brian Unger goes where ordinary travelers can’t, using eye-popping computer-generated graphics to visually travel back in time and tell stories from yesteryear that tourists won’t find in the guidebooks. Host Brian Unger is the ultimate tour guide, bringing his irreverent humor and point of view to the fascinating stories that most Americans don’t know yet.
Season 1, Episode 1 – “SF’s Golden Gateway & NY’s Tallest Five and Dime”
Brian Unger takes locals on an adventure to two vastly different but equally-awe inspiring symbols of American ingenuity. First, Brian travels back to San Francisco in the midst of the Great Depression. This ultra modern city transforms before our eyes to a time when the famous Golden Gate Bridge was merely a dream of Chief engineer Joseph Strauss. Brian and his cast get an exclusive behind the scenes look at the bridge to see what went into its engineering and design – they take a rare look at the bridge’s anchorage, then travel by boat underneath it as the bridge transforms before their eyes to its original design and construction.
Season 1, Episode 2 – “Cowboys, Cops, Corrals & Divorce Vegas Style”
Brian Unger takes locals back through time to the Old West and the New West, to relive two uniquely American stories. First stop: Tombstone AZ, in the year of 1881. The restored touristy town of today transforms before our eyes to the dusty Wild West locale that it was when man like Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday enforced their own brand of frontier justice. Brian busts a few myths about the infamous shootout at the O.K. Corral and reveals where the gunflight really took place. Hint, it wasn’t at the O.K. Corral. Next, Brian travels to the Sin City of lights in the 1940s and ’50s, Las Vegas, NV.
